Kansas City area paddling group

If you are in the Kansas City area (Missouri OR Kansas), join us for upcoming paddling outings at http://www.bit.ly/kansascityfun. KC FUN is a free group for recreational kayakers. The goal is to meet others who like to get out and paddle around this area, or take weekend trips.

Full moon paddles, weekend camping/kayaking trips, Missouri River paddles, local lake outings, etc.

  • If you are interested in Ozark paddling trips check out the Ozark Wilderness Waterways Club with 19 scheduled events. Go to owwckc.org or call 816-229-6089.

  • The Missouri River Paddlers group has 300 members just in the KC area out of 2200 nationwide members.
Find their message board on Facebook.

  • Paddle KC has over 400 members and hosted 87 events around Kansas City, the Ozarks and beyond in 2017. We had 13 paddling outings in July alone, and paddle every month of the year. I enjoyed a beautiful paddle on New Years Day on the Current River - a balmy 8 degrees at launch. Tomorrow, we meet to check out the ice flow on the Missouri River at Kaw Point (from the shore). At end of January is our unique UNDERGROUND kayaking and camping in a cave (SO FUN!!!).

2018 is shaping up to be quite a year in Paddle KC - lots of local lake, river, and creek paddles plus trips to Ozarks, Chicago area, Apostle Islands, Canoecopia, and more. Also skills clinics and ACA training, and our June Paddlepalooza IV. If you're in the area and own a kayak, SUP or canoe, join our group - we have a lot of fun with a fantastic group of people.
