    1. Its complicated and slow to load changes. The trip map takes a while to load which makes one want to hurry it along but it then catches up and drops a pin on the wrong spot. Once I tried to mark a spot on Dead River in Tavares, Florida. It logged it in as a position off the coast of Nigeria, Africa. I corrected it and it did it again! The paddle was not that long. :-)

    2. The #2 feedback form shows up as being removed by the owner.

    3. The trip report feature will likely work better for me as I get used to it and its characteristics.

    4. Water type lists, "Flat/Sheltered Water, Open Water/Ocean, River/Creek (Up to Class II), Whitewater (Class III+), Rock Gardens, Surf" It is good that you allowed more than one box to be checked. A lot of water can't be described with only one box. For example our river with no fall is 3 miles wide and 310 miles long. It can be flat, open water, river and rough as a cob in the same day.

  • repeat of #1 above -- newly added locations don't show up in the right place on the earth. doesn't seem to be a way to edit to correct them

  • I submitted a trip report a few days ago. I took two tries to get it to accept my report. I can't get the link to submit feedback to work.....form deleted by owner?????

  • @sapien @Raftergirl and @Overstreet we had an issue where the locations were not appearing correctly but that is now fixed. Could you review your trips by going to your profile? https://paddling.com/members/profile/.

The link to the feedback form has also been fixed. (okay so that was pretty embarrassing)
Please take a few minutes to complete the feedback form:

Looks correct now, thanks for the quick fix! is there a way to edit a location/POI once it's been created?
now that some of the kinks are worked out I'll be more inclined to add and update trips

The one other suggestion I have is if the text editor could be improved to properly embed paragraph breaks and http links.

  • "Portage" would be a useful attribute type to add to the add-location feature.

    Strongly Agree.
