White Canoe ID

Can anyone help identify this canoe we just fell into? We’ve had a 14’ White since the mid 80s, and stumbled into this one that had been abandoned for what seems to be years. It’s 16.5 feet long, yellow, and appears to be fiberglass. It appears to be a precursor to the current Old Town Discovery 169, but could be wrong on that.

My oldest Canoe magazine buyers guide is 1988 and by that time E.M. White was owned by Johnson Outdoors and was being merged into Old Town. The only 16’5 listed was in royalex. the two 16 foot tandems were Stillwater hulls and shallower and flatter than yours.
