Seaward rudder control?

I see there is an adjustable strap between the pedals and rudder as pictured below. What is the purpose to changed pedal angle? Does it work good? Thanks.

Assuming Seaward hasn’t changed their rudder control design too much, I’ll weigh in. I used to have an Arluk 2. I swapped out the original Necky abomination of sliding pedals for a Seaward system. 100 times better. At the time, their rudder controls were all aluminum & excellent. Very rugged. Assuming the now plastic ones function the same, you are correct. The strap adjusts the pedal angle for the pivoting “gas pedal” function while the pedal remains locked as far as its position in the track.

Thanks for the answer
