I’m working a contract job in College Station Texas and would like to paddle the San Elena Canyon before my gig is up around Labor Day. It’s a long drive from College Station to Big Bend, so an extra paddler would be welcome. I’ll probably use a commercial shuttle service to move my vehicle from the put-in to the take-out. I’m planning to do this 20 mile paddle as an overnight. American Whitewater shows one rapid on this stretch. I’m planning to call the park to get their advice on water levels, etc.
