Help with cranky, stiff-moving rudder PEDALS on Sealutions II Kayak?

I would welcome any advice on what to use to lubricate the rudder system…I bought this 14 1/2’ kayak used…it is perhaps 15 or more years old. Many thanks to anyone with a solution!!

Boeshield T-9 is an excellent waterproof lubricant.

Does it work on lower backs?

Well, you’d be slippery for sure. The static back is a dryer approach

If lubrication doesn’t free the pedals up it is likely a kinked or corroded cable(s) rather than lubrication problem.

What pedals?
