This story has been an ongoing saga for us regulars.
After a lengthy read, I dont think she was competent enough at paddling to mastermind the alleged crime. They were drinking, planning shenanigans, kayaking at dusk in the wind on a tidal, angry river in freezing cold water with no pfd or any rescue supplies - its no surprise someone died. In my armchair quarterback read, she likely did 3 years for being ignorant of risks, arrogant, poorly informed, poorly prepared, but not a murderer. So now I really dont know how to feel. I think I feel bad for her if she is innocent (of murderous intent i mean). So the plot thickens.
