Heading down to Dewey Beach, De. on Monday April 22. Looking for recommendations for put ins and easy parking(free) and places to explore by kayak. Any input would be great. Our first time in this area. Thanks!

Just south of Dewey is Delaware Seashore State Park. A protected inland bay near the bridge. A little north Cape Henlopen State Park has good area next to fishing pier. Nearby is Trap Pond and Assateage Island.

I’ve been researching the area because I’m planning a trip to Lewes this summer. I’m planning Delaware Seashore State Park and Prime Hook. I’m also interested in Great Marsh Preserve (I know you can kayak there, but I don’t know much about it other than some nice pictures I’ve seen).
