Around here ( northern NY State) during canoe race events, I often seen for sale signs on canoes on car tops before the race. You might attend some local events near you and see the same and/or ask around at the time.

If you’re on Facebook there’s a page “Marathon Canoe Racing For Sale” that is pretty active.

You may also want to research the Bellingham, WA area, there is a small racing community up there.
