Good point Wade! When I was demoing all of these boats in the past, I was directed to the Tempest 180, the Assateague, and the Chatham 18. After demoing many boats over a few month period, I found myself to be more comfortable in a snugger fitting (not tight) boat.
You make a real good point Wade. At our weight range, (and every weight range) it all comes down to the individual comfort/fit/desires of the paddler. I was passing on my personal bias regarding the best fit for me, although I paddled the boats you mentioned as well. You are correct…it would be wise for Infomark to demo all of the boats you mentioned as well.
Not a car lot The Jersey Paddler is not a car dealership. There is no high pressure sales. Look around all you like. Ask for help. I also have no affilliation with their shop but do drive 3 hours to shop there. Super shop, super people.
