Backpack & hydration pack for sea kayaki

still Pondering and Procrastinating. Keeps me from buying (much) gear that ends up being throw-aside.



I went to a local bicycle shop that had lots of Camelbaks. No classic, unfortunately. They had several of the smaller Hydrobaks though. Nice and small. Comes in day glow :). Just $30. Only a little wallet/keys pocket. I’ll probably get it to make my hydration problem go away. Then maybe throw it aside in a year or two for something with a bigger carrying pouch, or an integrated PFD, hydration, tow belt setup :).



I figure pockets in any of these backpacks aren’t water tight, so I may not have a whole lot to store in them anyway, except unwanted sea water. Flares would be good, I think. But then, do I want pyrolytics on my person?



I have a couple trips coming up. Day trip this Sat, then 4-6 days in the Coos Bay, OR area next week, so I’ll probably just pick up the Camelbak Hydropak locally.
