calluses
I have never used gloves to paddle. At the start of each spring I have to rebuild the calluses on my thumbs but it happens quick anymore and I am comfortable through the summer and fall.

thanks all for the info, found what I
needed. Came from a company called Sungrubbies, I think I’ll like them. Now if the doc would just release me to paddle I could go try them out;-)
