Go with a Canoe
I just went through the same process and selected a Bell Rockstar canoe. I’m 6’ 3" and 270 lbs. It is wide enough and long enough to be used on lakes and nimble enough for shallow class one rivers. Its pretty much made for guys our size. And its a solo so you can use it anytime you want.
