Big Water?

thanks for that video!
Reverse surfing is fun!

Have you ever gotten close to a (reverse) pitchpole? For me it feels possible but it could just be me.

Nice camera work also.

reverse endo
I have done a couple of reverse surfing endos but not a full 180 degrees.

Here is an intentional one: http://youtu.be/jTpFsU88Jq8

and this one (at 2:50) was not planned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGw7ASEb5SA

I would LOVE to have the skills to get
out in big swells. I have been in very big smooth swells in a small power boat on coast of Maine. It scared me because I was unsure how the boat would react and I was very concerned that conditions might worsen. I had to be careful to avoid water coming in over the transom and I did take a bit here and there. My memory is that depth gauge at the top of the swell was about 20 feet higher than at the bottom of the swell. I was not too far from the harbor and made it back in. Still, I can see how it would be a real thrill to be in such water in my kayak. Maybe someday.

and they look small too.
Very interesting camera mount technique, but pretty boring waves and surfing.
