No, the thread was posted to try to get someone to say they agree with the comment that allegedly was made by a kayak salesman.

Yes! Thanks for remembering. They had a boat branded Expedition model that really screamed Romany/Explorer. Of course Allen designed both the NDK and the TideRace Explorer. So not surprising. Jim and I paddled sometimes with someone who had one.
Before this gets any crazier, the reported conversation was not what has been reported here. Things were taken a bit far down the road by Libet. I know all the parties.
