Compact tent for kayak camping

REI Half Dome
Second the positive comments on the REI Half Dome. Bought one a couple years ago, when it met my criteria for low weight, vestibules, 2 doors, 2 windows, very comfy for one person, passable for two. Added benefit is that the pole sections are shorter than many others, allows me to store a wet tent behind the kayak seat instead of inside the dry storage areas. It was a Backpacker Magazine top pick back then, and they probably still have the test and review on their website. Have considered a bivy for going extra light, but haven’t found many people with any experience with them.

Strong and lite in every category , but
one. Your wallet!!!

however, there are times you need a tent as you're on shore..then, I bring my Eureks Zephyr..no longer made but the Backcountry 1 is just like it...take the poles and pack them separately..then you can stuff the tent anywhere you have room...
