Compass Lighting

Cool…now I know…
why it’s easier to see with red lights at night…looks like I’m in the market for another headlamp…let’s see, that’ll be number 5…sigh…thank the lord for REI dividends…

red lens
sometimes you can find or make a red lens for your headlamp. I’ve even once painted the bulb red with fingernail polish.

I have a Pelican lite that came with a red lens. It looks like very thin plastic that maybe you could find and make your own.

just a thought, and welcome to the forum!

I’m thinking red cellophane
and rubber-band(wry grin)…no, really(wink)…I miss emotcoms…can you tell?

One day I will have helped 1/10
As much as you Steve! Working hard on it.

LED Headlamp
Energizer makes a neat LED headlamp. It uses 3AAA. It has a 2 position switch that switches between 2 white LED’s(Lensed for a beam) and one red LED. It is light and inexpensive, $12.77 with batteries at Wallyworld. It has replaced my TIKA.
