I have had whats known as white footed asian ants that tend to naw on things, the fabric on my SOT seat for one and our 600 varieties of roaches tend to naw on anything from soap to cardboard.

Had that experience.
Turned out to be a neighbor’s ferret that they let roam occassionally. Apparently they love to chew foam, neoprene, and the like.
