Tsunami
I have a Tsunami 145 and I am able to keep up with my friend in his Dagger Katana through the rapids. Sure, I have to pick my routes carefully, but it isn’t a big deal. We go down small creeks and streams here in Arkansas. He doesn’t seem to mind the flat water stretches though and loves his boat.

Barges on lakes
There are no do-it-all boats and the shorter (10’ and less) crossovers are barges on still water. If you’re set on seeking the panacea, I’d go longer, like a Liquidlogic Stinger XP. Maybe even better, a Dagger Alchemy or P&H Hammer or Delphin.
