Do you carry duct tape with your gear?

superglue
Actually it was first discovered when trying to invent a new type of plastic for aircraft gunsights.

I also read that the US army did trials in Vietnam using it to close up wounds and that it was very successful. But the problem was that it could cause skin burns and other complications, so never certified for medical use.

The “spray on bandages” you see in stores these days (and I also carry a can in my first aid kit…awesome for treating barnacle scratches) are the based on superglue.

yes, I do sir!
I carry it - always

and my husband laughs at me.

It is already in my back pack

so he doesn’t see me pack it anymore.

I am waiting for the day he asks for it

and I can say “I forgot it this time!”…

ha ha ha

(but it will be there!)

Yes, always!
I use 3M weather-resistant duct tape, which is even stickier and tougher than standard duct tape. I once lost my balance on a rock-infested portage while also carrying a heavy pack and dropped the bow of my kevlar/glass canoe on a sharp rock, which created a small hole. I was 20 miles from civilization, but no problem after a small piece of tape on the inside!

duct tape, para-cord and zip ties
All purpose fasteners are your friends

yes
actually clear duct tape.
