sometimes I just want to don a tight wetsuit, get on a board, paddle out to the lineup and look beautiful with the rest of them. Who needs to paddle.

Do You Take Risks?
I think lessons could make it more enjoyable at any level, but if you plan on an increased risk level, lessons become more needed.
I have taken surf kayaking lessons, and I am glad I did.
