Too deep?
Just in case you find that canoe which is perfect in all other ways, taking an inch off the top is not that complicated. I’ve chopped a MR Screamer, TW, and Explorer over the years to get out of the wind and they all thanked me for it later.

I’ve got 2 boats right now that I would love to shave 2" off of, but I can’t imagine NOT screwing that up! WW
