Disagreement
My daughter has had a Gillespie straight shaft paddle since she was 6 and its now used by the granddaughters. Brad made a straight shaft model for years; the blade was made straight across the end and had his signature curved lip. Very light basswood construction in Kelly’s paddle and a slender shaft with a scaled down T grip to fit her very small hands. Marylynn Finley at Oak Orchard canoe had it made for Kelly’s birthday and its still a favorite of the small paddlers in our family.
