I have painted the last 12"
of a greenland paddles blades white for visibility and it worked good. I would think that hunters orange would work really good too.
Visbility is good…
…but you should have epoxied/painted the tips before oiling the paddle. You’ll have to take the tips back down to bare wood in order to get decent adhesion.
