two children can paddle it pretty fast. a fast tandem for adults, sounds like a husband, wife and kids? nope. sorry. the guy is asking about a fast tandem canoe. people are saying a jensen 17 or 18 or MNII. i'd agree with them. a solo plus wouldn't hang with those boats.

My brother likes his 18ft6in sundowner. At 44# it is fast. When hit by big waves, you might need to get down on knees to lower center of gravity.

I have had an Ad for a few years and I’ve rented many types for use in the BW. Used my Ad locally a lot on rivers and lakes. I personally do not feel the AD is a “fast” canoe on open water. Many others I’ve paddled are faster. Not a bad river canoe.
