Some Other Fishing Spots

Try Ponkapoag Pond in Canton. Very secluded and very good bass and pickeral fishing.
Early season - Try White Pond (the other glacial pond besides Walden) for trout and smallmouth bass.
Lake Cochituate is actually quite good with largemouth bass, pickerel, and occaisonal muskies and trout.
Neponset River into Dorchester Bay can be awesome for stripe bass and bluefish -- mostly early morning and evenings right now -- without having to actually go into open water. You can launch from Tenean Beach, or Morrisey Blvd.
Launch from Pavilion Beach/Ipswich and paddle into the (protected) backside of Plum Island is also a good potential spot for stripers and blues.
