Had Planters in both feet
Had to get shots in my feet to alleviate the pain and they hurt. Came from too many years working with not enough arch support in my work boots. Proper arch supports solved the problem. Buy and use good insoles in all your shoes and in your booties. A podiatrist can get you fit for custom insoles for $200-$300 or go to a sports store that specializes in running shoes and has someone that knows what they are doing. Once you are properly fit and know what you need, you can go from there. I now use insoles with arch supports in my booties. It hurts to spend over $100 on a pair of running shoes if you are not a runner but your feet will hurt more if you dont. Some REI stores make custom insoles for about $70 but they are not for water. I use them in my hiking boots. Teva makes some good water proof sandles with good footbeds and arch support.
