Gasket stretching

Neck seals
Neoprene seals can be stretched.

Latex seals can be trimmed. That’s what the rings are for. Watch that you don’t end up with a jagged edge where the start & end of the cut meet, since it will tend to tear there. Latex seals come in a “universal size” that fits no-one until trimmed to fit. If you don’t trim a latex seal, you will be very, very, uncomfortable.

Yep, trim
Is this the right forum???

a number of times on P.net.

There probably never will be unanimous agreement with
latex neck gaskets. It's right up there with "to circumsize or not circumsize."

That said, I got a neck the size of Godzilla.
And I've always carefully stretched.
Never had any "comfort" issues.

To each his own.

How do you circumcize a whale?
Four skin divers!

Latex vs neoprene comfort
IF you can get neoprene that fits properly, it should be comfortable, but you can’t trim neoprene seals to fit, so they’re either comfortable or they’re not. I bought a jacket that I really liked except for the fact that the neoprene collar was too tight. I had no choice but to return it.

I haven’t seen neoprene seals as aftermarket items, so if you know of a source, please post it here. If I could find one that fit my neck, I’d consider switching to it, as it should be more durable than latex.

Yes, but is at least one a Rabbi? (nm)
