These gloves are great. They are advertised as glove liners, but I use them by themselves without additional gloves most of the time. There is a small pocket on top of the hand that holds the hand warmer.
I find them very cozy without the handwarmers, and almost too warm with the handwarmers. They are not waterproof, so I wouldn’t consider them paddling gloves unless you keep your hands out of the water or wear waterproof gloves over them. They are very comfortable.
You may be more comfortable with a size larger than usual if you don’t want them to fit snug. My mother has Raynaud’s and won’t wear anything snug. She thought mine were too tight on her, and our hands are the same size.
I do find that the material is surprisingly warm even when worn by themselves without the warmers, despite the thinness of the material.
