Greenland paddle float ?

he probably already knows
how to roll—most of us do- its a skill most of us learn as beginners-but even the best rollers can sometimes blow it(after multiple rolls in really rough conditions paddling for hours etc) and it is a good thing to have a back up—I always smile to myself when I hear somebody say they have a bombproof roll—all that really means is that they haven’t had a big enough bomb dropped on them yet.

prefer the screw or layback roll myself

Not a troll
I’ve met and paddled with Mark, and he is probably the last person who would make trolling posts.

me too, need an instructors input here
Why is it that some instructors have such a strong insistence on the C to C?

often it is the roll they learned and
the roll they feel comfortable teaching. There are also a bit of outdated thinking that the c-to-c is better in whitewater, easier on the shoulder, or easier to learn.

I think it’s good he/you are
considering the consequences and coming up with plan b.

Plan A is a good one though, and working hard on plan a won’t hurt. Stay in the boat!!!

Late but
how about this? http://www.skinboats.org/skinboats/skin_boat_STORE.html
