hatches for Pintail

I think I’m going to go for it.
I’ve got maybe a year left on my oldest VCP cover. I’ll get one Sealect replacement from Duckworks, and if it seals poorly, I’ll keep it upside down, flat against the hull in the bow as a backup. It’s got to work at least as good as my tarp-bungee-float-bags backup for if and when a VCP hatch blows out on a trip.



Best case scenario, I’ve permenantly replaced the first of three VCP hatches for less money than another VCP.

the VCP hatches are more accommodating of imperfect PE hatch rims.

something to consider before recommending sea-lect hatches across the board.
