Might try Tom Yost’s new Sonnet. Tom says it takes 10 minutes to assemble and it weights an amazing 19 lbs.
I’ll be making one (building seems an odd term for this boat) the winter, too add to my Yost collection

skirts and socks
Doesn’t sound like a paddling topic
I always use a neoprene skirt (have several, for different boats) and it’s not awfully hot. I paddle with a greenland paddle so the skirt is always wet and that helps a little (no drip rings on GP’s). Btw, not all neoprene skirts are black. The sock fits into the kayak so the sun has no effect at all on the color.
