I just drove 120 miles each way for a kayak on Friday: 2003 CD Gulfstream, an early model Mid Swift, and a barely used dry top that fits me for $375. Everything is functional but it has chips in the gelcoat that I’d like to fix, could use new deck bungees, and the hatch covers will need to be replaced in the next couple years.
I paddled it in the wind and rain at a reservoir for 4 hours this afternoon and had a blast. I love the secondary stability and how effectively it carves turns.
