you want to take BCU assessment? Why not just forget about judgement and go paddle, without checking weather and water conditions? All you need is your amulet of a drysuit to make you a perfectly safe paddler. Indeed forget the lessons, and go buy yourself a bunch gear. By that measure, you would automatically become a primo paddler.

But since it’s not a matter of “if” but “when” one swims (as you so rightly often point out), one needs to be dressed for immersion too.



If you didn’t believe that, you wouldn’t wear your wetsuit, sing.
