Have you tried a banana basket? Not quite commando. We’re approaching the time of year when that can cause grievous UV or hot boat damage.

check out AliExpress.com and search for the paddle of your preference. You can get a new Carbon paddle on Ali for cheaper than a used one locally (i.e. less than $180 shipped). I have 3 and have been very happy with them. Only catch is that it takes 2-3 weeks to arrive, but if you’re not in a hurry they’re a great value.
