I LOVE mid sized cruisers like MRC’s Malecite, Yost’s Northstar Polaris and it’s more recent redesign the Swift’s Keewaydin 16. However, the load options suggest a little larger boat, and with 225 lbs at one end and 240 at the other, a race boat will not likely be very comfortable either, eliminating the Minn II and Jensen 18. Mountain Man should have Swift’s excellent, tumblehomed Keewaydin 17 in stock in both Old Forge and Saratoga and LG Kayak may have Northstar’s NorthWind 17 , recently straight sided to reduce cost to the rental trade. Again, both DY designs.

I didn’t think Ike was way far behind me. And I am hardly ancient, but have gone past the point where I wanted to be working a day job five days a week once I had a choice.
