Is there a (non-GP, high angle touring) paddle for me (a short, small paddler) in 2025?

My wife is 4’ 11" (150cm) and petite. She’s been using a 200cm Werner Cyprus - 2 piece, straight/small shaft, for almost the last 10 years and is very happy with it.

She also has an 82" (208cm), 20" loom width, cedar GP custom made by Ben Fontenot, but that’s another story!

The original paddle you recommended to the OP was about $550 wasn’t it?

Edit: I see now the Ashika is $450, I do not know where I got $550;from.

I have one of these that I use quite often (about $385):

Also comes in carbon for $90 more +/-.

Marshall has a Lendal Cadence for sale, too long, but have it cut down and it could be perfect, $259.

Segla Gear is coming out with their new K-Pro Carbon construction so all the remaining euro blade Segla paddles are on sale

Ashika 200-210cm

Ngaru (205-215cm)

Zyren (196-206cm)

Yes, I spoke to Susie. He mentioned you called.

See my signature for full contact information

Susie is a “she. …I was Emailing her, told her how you defended/justified the Tetra on the forum. Told her to contact you. Maybe you could become a development consultant for AquaBon…That would be sweet.

Actually, I was one of the Tetra prototype test pilots.

So there was at least some design input, not just a review. Sounds like you are in.

Have not heard much about Bent Shafts lately, not knowing anything, thought that idea might have passed. I guess some people like them and some people don’t. Come to think of it, that is what @Marksmann bought for his wife. I wonder if it had @Marshall ’s signature on it.

That bent shaft Tetra for my wife arrives tomorrow. Bought it directly from aquabound. I’ll check it out tomorrow when it arrives. Gunna weigh it too.

Realize that advertised weight is based on the shortest version. The Kalliste is advertised at around 22 oz but my 250 cm model weighs 27 oz. Don’t be too critical
