I don’t have a problem with that boat, as a starter boat.
I started with a 12’ plastic sea cow, Then I did a downstream race and moved on.
I now have a Fenn Mako 6 at 21’ and 17" beam, a Westside Wave extreme, at 19’ and an 18" beam.
I also have a couple of 12’ woodstrips for fishing and lazing with the girlfriend. You have to start small and build to big dreams.
Just get started, you might grow into a true kayaker freak, you might not.
