You may not need to use hood loops on a Crosstrek. My 2014 Crosstrek has four big metal loops under the frame (one on each corner) that I clip my bow lines to with a carabiner. I will bridle the lines in the front if needed as shown in this photo. Not sure what year yours is but most cars that are built overseas (as the Crosstreks still are) will have them. It’s the domestic cars that don’t need to be chained down on a ship that are lacking in good attachment points. The line does not mar or scuff the paint.
Are there pre-tapped holes where the tow bracket is installed where an eye bolt could be mounted?
NO clue it’s all buried behind all the plastic facia crap and air dam below.
