Most difficult boat to roll?

technique diffs
May be more of an OC versus C1 difference. In my case, I learned the single blade roll in an OC first, so that’s what’s easier for me. I still can’t roll my Atom consistently.

I rolled a Canadian once…
…and, boy, was he mad about it.

Your first boat is the hardest to roll.
The rest are easier.

Dogmaticus

easier
There is no question that it is easier to toll a canoe with little or no flotation since it sits much lower in the water as it comes up, but then rolling becomes a useless skill since the boat is virtually uncontrollable when it comes up.

I will often put smaller bags in a canoe I am having a hard time trying to roll, and then hopefully graduate to larger bags.

if you haven’t seen the "intermission"
on Dubside’s DVD, you owe it to yourself, it’s a real treat

he rolls just about everything imaginable, all the way up to a triple

Canadians are only good for a
handful of looneys and twoneys. Maybe Corran would have a Krugerand.

Piece of plywood.
