Thanks everyone for all of your help. We just bought a 16’ Old Town Camper used this morning with lots of accessories (paddles, pfds, those chairs w/backs that strap on, etc) and are really happy. Yes, it has scratches and a few missing bolts, and yes, it was a little more money than we were going to spend but with the pfds and paddles it made it worth it. And it is light!
