buy another pair in a different color? It may be a win win situation. You could keep this pair with your gear and change into them when you’re taking her out for a ride and wear the other ones everywhere else. If you’re super cheap like me, you can grit your teeth, curse, and be sure not to buy them in black next time you’re in the market of them. 
Also… is it too late to try and exchange them? I’ve returned a pair of sneakers once a week after buying it. I wore the sneakers for about an hour and realized how painful the shoes were. Of course, if you’ve worn the shoes for a long while, have athletes foot or some other fungus, it may not be an option. LOL
