Paddles come in a variety of blade sizes and shaft diameters as well as different shaft lengths. A paddle that’s too big and/or heavy for you will feel clunky.
Invest in a comfortable PFD. There are feamle-specific models. If you like a high seatback, there are PFDs cut to accomodate that.

The rudder is quite large but Hunt will shorten it. Mine is 1/2 depth on my Horizon and works very well. My 12.5' Horizon only weighed 28 lbs in kevlar with 3 hatches and a spray deflecter.
