lessons …
I took my first lesson (full day) yesterday – basic strokes and rescues (7 students and 2+ instructors) --great student/instructor ratio.



Anyway, my goal was the ability to confidently wet exit and perform a paddle float rescue – I was taught various rescue techniques that I’ve read about and never tried. I was good to see them performed in person, and when it was my turn to give it a few tries – it’s nice to know that knowledgeable people are around to spot you, offer support and advice. Now, I feel more confident whenever I go out paddling, especially if it’s by myself. It’ll probably be the only class I end up taking, at least for the foreseable future.
