Maybe the best beginner boat is a Romany

Very confidence inspiring and also happens to be a favorite boat of experienced paddlers.
I've put novices and folks who have never been in any kayak except rec boats in my Romany and seen their smiles as they start to play with the boat.
Aled Williams and Nigel Dennis designed the Romany as the schooling boat for Nigel's centre. It supports learning and is capable of handling anything. There are lots of Romanys around.
