Nissan xterra rig for kayaks....

as soon as american workers
do work at the same quality level as the germans and brits, I will buy american. In the meantime, I have avoided american cars for 3 decades.

Titan axle is a DANA axle
That DANA axle is a good one, but I guess your buddy can’t read. The Titan manual specifically says to drive the truck for a few thousand miles before towing with it, because the DANA axle seals need to be seasoned so that the gear oil doesn’t leak out. If your buddy could read, he might have read the Titan truck review done by an auto mag in which they stated that they made the same mistake of not reading the manual before towing with a brand-new truck right away.

I was waiting for your “Japs” comment…sure, enough, there it was. The real reason you are slamming foreign trucks is not that they don’t have US names (they are made in the US) but because they are Japanese names. Betcha don’t slam German car makes, do you?

Insecurity
Ryant must work for Ford. Factory, not sales.

Such a shame that there’s such a thing as competition, isn’t it? Titan and Tundra have cut into Big 3 truck sales, and their mid-sized siblings are about to take bigger chunks out of Big 3.

It’s a conspiracy, yeah, that’s it! Has nothing to do with consumer preferences or quality!

not an employee
you are right, those cars were junk. But those days are gone. There are very few cars out there

now that have those bad of reps. All I know is that I helped one of my best friends put the 3rd

box on the back of his nissan from rust. He seems alot like you in the fact that he would be the first to note the vega’s rusted on the show

room floor, but his nissan is ‘bullet proof’.

All I’m saying is that I think there are a lot

of people that are easily led in this country.

dana design
I’m an engineer that that designs such things.(not for dana) Too bad nissan did’nt have the smarts to throw a proven Dana design into there

trucks. The nissan design was/is almost exactly

like the old one found in the small trucks. Dana

isn’t to blame do you think? Don’t know enough

about it to comment further.

As far as the small note for seal break-in, he

had well over 5,000mi on the truck. The boat was

brand new.I consider a vehicle brand new for at least the first 30,000mi.Too bad the banks don’t!

He got rid of it, didn’t lose too much, got the right truck for the job.- A Duramax GMC.

sorry
nope. the Germans make extremely good stuff. And

they buy our stuff right back. Thats the way it is, the Americans and the Germans are inovators-

not imitators. sorry to offend you.

Brits?
The head of Fords f-150 program now heads Jag. Before that there were eight companies fitting

GM target engines into Jags with 0mi on the trip.

thanks
