Nothing but foot prints

Les G, compared to…
Compared to leaving burned plastics on the lake/riverside. I’d much rather have all that waste in one area (a landfill) as opposed to spread out all over the world. (especially not on the waterways) Wouldn’t you? Who knows? Someone may discover something in later years that will break down plastic at a greater rate. In that case it would definitly be a good thing to have at least most of that plastic in designated places so that it can be treated.

BTW, Out of sight, out of mind is why we are where we are today environmentally. There is a consequence for every little thing we choose to do in this world. Simply put, we’re either part of the problem, or part of the cure. I choose to try not to be part of the problem.

Paddle in a clean environment on~ Splash

speaking of packing out, I believe one of the wild and scenic rivers in Montana will soon require portable toilets…at least no more burying of human waste. By whatever means, you pack it out. What’s the trend on that nationwide on trails and how are paddlers complying?
