It may be easier than you think…
I always did a C to C roll on my right side. I had fooled around with a sweep a bit but was not proficient at the time.
During a roll practice sesion I tried the C to C on my left and was terribly confused. I then tried the sweep on the left side an nailed it on the second try, and every other try since. I now can do the sweep on the left side better than I can on the right.
Maybe trying a different type of roll on your off side will help. It did for me, and it also helped me to learn the sweep for my onside roll.
