paddle length for low versus high angle

I just tried switching my carbon tripper and my carbon expedition and it worked fine, but maybe it doesn’t always if there is variation in the ferrules. I had to sand both of these in the past.

That’s what I do
Have a Camano 230 (bought by mistake, really, quickly found I didn’t need one that long). Then bought a 210 of the same (current) joint design. Most of the time I use that, but I make a 220 if conditions are choppy since it requires less attention to paddling form to keep the blade fully buried in the chop.



No issues with the joints fitting properly with any of the possible combos.

Low angle paddles … VERY low.
Need length to paddle very low. Rule of thumb: Measure your total height including arm overhead pointing at the sky. Include index finger.



Then double it.
