Paddle munchies

Went out paddling past people’s houses. Smelled burgers cooking on the grills. It was a fast paddle home. She was making me burgers tonight too.

I take Honey Buns along for back up. I found an antique one in my dry bag last week.

I have found some things like that too.

We were doing a night paddle up a creek that used to have one of our favorite burger places on it. It went right past Harpoon Louie’s bar where they were cooking on the grill and the hood exhaust emptied onto the creek. We almost beached the boats right there and crawled up the bank.

2(+) hour paddle
I bring along 2 - 8oz nalgene bottles, one filled with raisins and one almonds.
each hour take a small handfull from one, next hour - the other

12 hour paddle
I bring along 2 - 8oz nalgene bottles, one filled with raisins and one almonds.

Plus a lunch at about halfway point

for the 2+ hour paddle, the 4oz bottles don’t go down very much
for the 12 hour paddle, a bit more

Don’t know if it is still operating this year, but here in Pittsburgh there was a water-borne taco-truck(boat) that would deliver the fresh goods right to your craft on the Monongahela River
